Michaelis Theatre, University of Roehampton, London. May 2015.
Made in collaboration with composer Cydonie Banting and the Aurora Trio of the Royal Academy of Music
By The One Who Counts It explores monotony, routine and time: conceptually, symbolically and physically. Performed alongside a three-piece orchestra, both choreography and composition interrogate rhythm, repetition and the banality of everyday gesture.
Performers: Josh Gill, Claudia Louise, Kaira Manders, Kalynn McLane, Adrienne Ming and Joanne Payne
“A deftly structured dance with lively movement content, and moments of wit and pathos” – Erica Stanton, Head of Choreography at The University of Roehampton
